What is The Village Plan?

THE BIDDENHAM VILLAGE PLAN

What is it?

The Village Plan is a document setting out a vision for the future of the village, the problems facing people in the village, and a set of action plans to solve those problems.

Its' purpose is to enable us to improve village life by working towards the vision.
It will be based on input from all residents of the village

Why have one?

It will enable the Parish Council to focus on issues of most concern

It will ensure that money raised via the precept will be spent according to the wishes of residents

It will help the Parish Council gain support from external agencies and to influence their plans

It will help getting more people involved in creating a better future for the village

How will it be prepared?

A questionnaire has been circulated, the purpose of which is to identify the major issues that concern residents in the village.

Once the results have been analysed and circulated to all households, a series of 'problem solving' meetings, open to all, will be held.

The output from these meetings will be turned into action plans.

Costs associated with the action plans will be included in the precept for future years.

The whole process is being managed by a sub-committee of the Parish Council
