The Friends of Biddenham Village Pond is a charity with the objects of:
- Encouraging the study and preservation of the environment, particularly amongst the younger members of the community;
- Conserving the site as an attractive habitat for wildlife; and
- Providing an area for quiet recreation for both residents of Biddenham and visitors.
The Friends of Biddenham Village Pond was established in October 1995. It is the formal successor to the Biddenham Village Pond Restoration Project, the group of Biddenham residents, which, in 1986, started the project to restore and maintain the village pond and manage the triangle of land between the pond and Gold Lane as a conservation area and village amenity.
